Who else looked at this and thought "no wonder GM is broke"?The odd two-wheeled tuk-tuk of the future is part of GM's plan to "remake itself as a purveyor of fuel-efficient vehicles".
I suppose you can give GM credit for finally being visionary and partnering with Segway to re-imagine urban transportation, even if that vision involves machines eeriely similar to those used by the immobile, sloth-like future humans in Disney's Wall-E.

I initially thought (in response to a different press photo) "A wheelchair for two. That will be a hot commodity." I've heard similar comments from friends and strangers alike.
